The F5812 holds 162 litres - that's a proper full-size fridge, not a camping cooler. The cut-out dimensions are 80.5 cm high, 58.7 cm wide, and 56 to 60.5 cm deep, so measure your cavity before ordering. It's designed for built-in installation in caravans, motorhomes, and boats, and the door swing is reversible so you can configure it to suit your layout.

Running on 12V it draws 4.4 amps, which drops to 2.2 amps on 24V. That's pretty efficient for a 162-litre fridge. It'll run on 12V or 24V DC, and also accepts 120VAC at less than 0.5 amps. Low voltage protection is built in, so it won't flatten your batteries without warning.

At 4.4 amps running draw on 12V, your solar and battery requirements will depend on how hard the compressor cycles in your climate. It's a Danfoss BD-series compressor, which is one of the more efficient units available.

It weighs 31 kg (69 lbs). This is a built-in unit, so weight is less of an issue than with a portable fridge - you install it once and leave it. Factor the weight into your caravan or boat build when planning the cabinet location.
