For this test I ran it through an actual day, not a bench test. Two 90Wh battery banks on charge, a 2,000W drop saw, a 60W 12V camping fridge, an 1,800W microwave, and a 2,200W kettle. Then the scenario most Aussie households actually care about. You get home from work, you're about to head away for the weekend, and there's a blackout coming, storm weather rolling in, or a planned outage. You don't want the fridge full of food to spoil while you're gone.

The fix is simple enough. Fast charge the unit from flat, about an hour to full, then use it as a UPS for the fridge overnight and over the weekend. A household fridge draws roughly 800 to 1,600Wh a day, so a full charge on this thing covers one to two days of fridge backup by itself.

  • The 12V outlet is capped at 10A, it'd be awesome to see a 30-amp option here, it'd open up a lot more doors for van life setups
  • No expansion battery option, what you buy is what you've got
