What are the specs on the EcoFlow 160W NextGen Portable Solar Panel?

Despite the name, this is actually a 220W panel - EcoFlow upgraded the output while keeping the same compact form factor. It uses N-Type TOPCon monocrystalline cells rated at 25% efficiency. Unfolded it's 600x2123x25mm (single) or 615x2155x25mm (bi-facial), and it folds down to around 600x571x32mm for transport. Weight is about 7.2kg for the single-facial and 7.0kg for the bi-facial version.

What's the difference between the single-facial and bi-facial versions?

The single-facial panel captures sunlight from one side only. The bi-facial version can also harvest reflected light from the ground or a light-coloured surface through its rear face - rated at 175W from the back. In open bush, on sand, or near water where there's decent reflected light, the bi-facial will pull in more charge over the day. If you're mostly setting it on grass or dark ground, the single-facial does the job fine.

What EcoFlow power stations is this panel compatible with?

The EcoFlow 160W NextGen connects via a 2.5m XT60i photovoltaic cable (included) and is compatible with EcoFlow portable power stations including the DELTA series, RIVER series, and DELTA Pro. It delivers an open circuit voltage of 21.5V and up to 12.4A short circuit current, which fits neatly within EcoFlow's supported solar input range for most of their stations.

How do I set up the EcoFlow 160W Solar Panel?

Unfold the panel, angle the adjustable stand anywhere between 30 and 60 degrees to face the sun, then plug the included XT60i cable into your EcoFlow power station's solar input port. The panel starts charging automatically - no settings to fiddle with. Repositioning it every couple of hours to track the sun will get you the best output throughout the day.

Is the EcoFlow 160W Solar Panel waterproof?

Yes, it's rated IP68 - the highest common rating for water and dust resistance. You can leave it out in the rain without stress. The ETFE coating also protects the surface from UV, scratches, and general bush bashing. It's built to handle Australian conditions.
