The RV5 is Bluetti's complete van power system: a 5,000W hub, LiFePO4 battery, the Epanel distribution board and the Epad touchscreen. We sell it eight ways, from the hub and one battery on its own through to a twin-battery, triple-panel setup, plus the hub and the Epad sold separately for anyone building around gear they already own. Five thousand watts of continuous output is what separates this from a normal van inverter. Most stop around 2,000W, which rules out a kettle and a microwave together. Here you can run both and still have headroom.
It takes up to 1,800W of solar, 5,000W of shore power and up to 1,200W off your alternator, so however you already charge, it plugs into that rather than replacing it.

How you charge it
You have three ways in and you can use all of them. Solar takes up to 1,800W at 12 to 50V, which is a serious array; the panel configurations above cover part of that, or bring your own if you already have panels. Shore power charges at up to 5,000W, so a night on a powered site fills it. And the alternator input gives you 600W on a 12V system or 1,200W on 24V, which quietly tops the battery up while you drive.
What 5,120Wh gets you off-grid
Take a normal van: a compressor fridge at around 60W average, LED lights, a water pump, phones and a laptop. That's roughly 1,500Wh a day. One B4810 is three days of that with no charge going in at all; two takes you close to a week. Run an air conditioner and the maths changes fast, because a 13,500 BTU unit pulls well over 1,000W while the compressor runs.
Why 5,000W changes what you can run
Most van inverters top out around 2,000W, which rules out a kettle, a microwave or an induction cooktop running properly. At 5,000W a 2,200W kettle and a 1,500W microwave together still leave you a quarter of the capacity spare. That's the difference between a van where you plan around the power and one where you just use appliances the way you would at home.
Why the self-heating cells matter here
LiFePO4 will not accept a charge below freezing without damage, which is why plenty of lithium setups quietly stop charging on an alpine morning. The B4810 has a self-heating film that holds the cells near 25 degrees when it drops below zero, so it keeps charging. If you travel the high country in winter, that's not a nice extra, it's the difference between a working system and a dead one.
Which RV5 configuration suits you
The hub and one battery on their own suit you if you already have panels, or you're getting them fitted separately. Add the Epanel and Epad and you've got the full monitoring and distribution setup most vans want. Add a 200W panel (or two, or three) if you'd rather it arrive ready to charge from day one. Two batteries doubles your storage to 10,240Wh for week-long free camping or running air conditioning, at 46kg more and a second battery bay. The hub on its own suits a rebuild where you're keeping an existing battery bank; the Epad on its own is a spare or replacement touchscreen. What ships in the box depends on which configuration you choose above. The install isn't included on any of them, and this is a licensed job: get an auto electrician or a caravan fitter who works with 48V systems.
