AVR or standard: what you're actually paying for
This is the whole decision, so it's worth being clear. Both versions give you the same 11kVA off the same Honda engine. The AVR adds regulation that holds the output voltage steady as your load changes. Without it, every time a welder strikes or a big motor starts, the voltage dips and then overshoots. Your tools cope with that. Chargers, control gear and anything with a board in it cope with it less well over time. If your loads jump around all day, pay for the AVR. If they're steady, the standard GH10000E is the same power for less money.
What under 5% harmonic distortion means for you
Harmonic distortion is how far the output waveform strays from a clean sine wave, and Genelite publish this one at under 5%. That's a number you can hold them to, unlike vague talk about clean power. Under 5% suits welders, chargers, motors and most commercial gear without complaint. It still isn't the pure sine wave an inverter generator gives you, so for genuinely sensitive electronics an inverter is the better tool, though nothing at 11kVA is small or cheap.
What 11kVA covers on a real site
Nine kilowatts runs a welder alongside a compressor, site lighting and a set of hand tools. That's a small crew working off one machine. As standby it'll carry a workshop or a house through an outage. If everything you priced at 8kVA looked like it would be working near its limit, this is where it stops. The step up to 12.5kVA sits in the same footprint if you want the headroom.
25 litre LRT or 50 litre FBT
The LRT is 25 litres and 125kg, and it gives you 7 hours at 60% load. The FBT doubles the fuel and adds weight and length. Double the fuel is roughly double the unattended run time, which is what you want when stopping to refuel costs you a pour or a crew standing around. If yours lives on one site take the FBT, if it moves every day take the LRT.
Two 15 amp outlets and what that means
The sockets are two 15A outlets with thermal overload protection, which is 30 amps between them. Eleven kVA is more than that, so if you want the full output you need it wired properly rather than run through leads. Backing up a shed or a house means a licensed electrician and a changeover switch, never a backfeed through a wall socket. On a site running tools off leads, the sockets are all you'll touch.
