What 10kVA actually covers
Ten kVA is 8kW of real output, and that's a serious amount. On your site it runs a welder, a compressor and your lighting together, which is where 5 and 6kVA units start tripping. At home it'll carry most of your house through a blackout: your fridge, freezer, hot water, lights and a few appliances. If you've been sizing generators and everything you priced looked marginal, this is the size that stops being marginal.
Why the 32 amp socket is the point
Most portable generators give you 15 amp sockets and nothing else, which is where people get stuck. This has a 32A socket alongside the 15A, and that's what a big welder, a large compressor or a proper site distribution board actually plugs into. If your gear needs 32A, no amount of 10kVA output helps you unless the socket is there. It's the detail that makes this a genuine job-site machine rather than a big domestic unit.
Read the AVR claim properly
AVR holds the output voltage within 3% of 230V as the load changes, which is tight and genuinely useful: your tools don't sag when something else kicks in, and your chargers and lights behave. What it isn't is the pure sine wave an inverter generator produces. For most site electronics that's fine. For genuinely sensitive gear, an inverter generator is still the right tool. Moving 91 kilos
The wheel kit and folding handles are standard, and you'll use them. Over concrete or a flat yard you'll manage it on your own. Over gravel, grass or up a ramp, get a mate on the other end. Getting it onto your ute tray is a two-person job or a ramp job, so plan that before it arrives rather than on the day. It's not a generator you'll throw in the back of the wagon.
Is 73 dBA a problem where you'll use it?
It's a working generator, and it sounds like one. On your job site, your farm or a rural property in a blackout, nobody cares.
