The Owner's Insights on the Slimline 104Ah Battery
Most slim batteries on the market are really just standard cells squeezed into a shorter case. This one's different. Renogy's redesigned the cell chemistry, not just the housing. At 61mm thick, about the width of two stacked phones, it slides into gaps a normal battery laughs at: behind your dual-cab bench seat, flat against a canopy wall, under a false floor.
Pick it up and it's genuinely light for the capacity, 12.8kg, one-handed once you've got the rope handle. The Bluetooth pairs straight to your phone for state of charge and cell temperature, no separate shunt to buy. It'll still take a 10A trickle charge down to -10°C without the BMS locking you out, handy if you're chasing an early alpine start.
Worth knowing before you buy: Renogy markets this as "solid-state." By their own numbers it's 90% solid electrolyte and 10% liquid, so semi-solid is the honest description, not fully solid. And it's a bare battery, not a power station. No inverter, no AC outlets. Want power straight out of the box? One of our power stations suits you better.
Why You'll Love the Slimline 104Ah Battery
- Ultra-thin 61mm profile Fits under seats, canopy walls and drawers where your standard battery won't.
- 12.8kg, easy one-person lift Light enough to fit and pull back out without a second pair of hands.
- Built-in Bluetooth plus a CAN port Check your state of charge and cell temperature from your phone, no separate shunt needed.
- 200A continuous discharge, 290A peak Enough to run a 2000W inverter off one battery.
- 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge Years of weekend trips before it needs replacing.
- Series or parallel to 48V Wire up to 4 in series, 16 in parallel, or mix for a 4S4P bank.

Why You Should Consider a Renogy Lithium Battery
Renogy's been building 12V lithium gear for Aussie off-gridders for years. This REGO range is their newest cell chemistry, not just a repackaged pack, and it carries an 8-year prorated warranty, the longest of any battery in their range. Buy it through True Gear and you get local support, not a forum post to an overseas seller. Browse the rest of the Renogy range, or True Gear's other lithium batteries.

Fitting the 104Ah Slimline into a dual-cab underseat cavity
At 579 x 290 x 61mm, this is built for the gap your standard battery won't touch: behind a rear bench seat, flat against a canopy wall, under a false floor. Renogy's own sizing guide asks for 50-100mm clearance above the case and at least 200mm on the terminal side for your busbars and cables. Measure your cavity before you order, not after. It ships with vibration-resistant mounting brackets for a vertical or horizontal fit, so the same battery works lying flat under your seat or standing on its edge in a canopy drawer.
Renogy 104Ah Slimline vs a standard 100Ah battery
A standard 100Ah lithium battery is usually a squat box around 200mm deep. This one holds a similar usable capacity in a case 61mm thick, a third the depth. That's the trade you're making for your setup: comparable energy, a fraction of the footprint. It costs more per Ah than a standard box battery, and if your cavity isn't actually tight, you're paying for a shape you don't need. For the spot where a standard battery simply won't fit your build, that's not really a contest.
What "semi-solid" actually means on this battery
Renogy markets this range as solid-state. By their own published numbers, it's 90% solid electrolyte and 10% liquid, so semi-solid is the accurate term for your battery, not fully solid. What that buys you is real. Renogy rates the cell's temperature rise at roughly 9 times slower than a standard lithium cell under puncture testing, one reason it carries a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant casing. It's a genuine step up in thermal stability. Just don't expect a battery that can't be punctured or crushed at all.
How long the 104Ah Slimline runs a 4WD fridge
Work it out from the numbers, not a guess. Your battery holds 1,331Wh. A typical 60L camp fridge averages 50W. That's 1,331 divided by 50, or about 26 hours, the better part of a day and a half before you've topped it up with solar or the alternator. Renogy rates the 6,000-cycle life at 80% depth of discharge, so plan your daily use around roughly 1,065Wh of that, not the full tank. Run your battery with a 2000W inverter and you've still got headroom: 200A continuous at 12.8V is over 2,500W, well clear of a 1,500W kettle.

Not Sure Which Renogy Battery Suits You?
Need a plug-and-play power station instead of a bare 12V battery? This isn't it. Have a look at our RV power kits instead, or one of our power stations for power straight out of your box. Building or upgrading your own 12V system somewhere space is the real constraint? This is genuinely one of the thinnest batteries in Renogy's range for your capacity needs. One honest flag: Renogy hasn't published a certifications list for this exact battery on the AU site, so if RCM matters to your build, call us and we'll confirm it before you order. Every 104Ah Slimline you buy from us carries Renogy's 8-year prorated warranty. True Gear backs it with local support if you ever need it sorted.
