The Owner's Insights on the 400Ah Lithium Power Kit
Caravanners ring us with the same worry. Will the bank actually last the trip, or will the fridge die on day three? This 400Ah kit is built to answer that properly.
Two 200Ah batteries sit side by side. Each one's a genuine two-person lift lighter than the AGM slab it replaces. Together they hold 5,120Wh, plenty for a long weekend running the fridge, lights and a laptop without watching the gauge. The 3000W inverter runs the kettle, the microwave or a small aircon, with headroom to spare. The 50A DC-DC charger tops the bank up off the alternator on the drive in. Add solar once the panels are on, and it charges from that too.
One thing to flag: the inverter's warranty is 1 year, well short of the battery's 5. Register every component with Renogy after the install.
Why You'll Love the 400Ah Lithium Power Kit
- Two 200Ah LiFePO4 batteries, 5,120Wh combined Enough lithium to run your fridge, lights and devices for a long weekend without a generator.
- 3000W pure sine wave inverter, 6000W surge Runs your kettle, microwave or small aircon on clean power, with real headroom.
- 50A DC-DC charger with MPPT solar and alternator input Tops your bank up from the tow vehicle on the drive in, or from solar once you're parked.
- 500A battery monitor with LCD display Check your voltage, current draw and state of charge at a glance, instead of guessing what's left.
- Rated for 5,000+ charge cycles Years of trips before your bank needs replacing, at 80% depth of discharge.
- Optional ShadowFlux solar panels Add two or three 200W anti-shading panels and keep your bank topped up without running the engine.

Why You Should Consider a Renogy RV Power Kit
Renogy backs its gear with genuine component-level warranty cover, not one blanket promise. The battery alone carries 5 years prorated cover. Buy a matched kit and every part is built to work together, not bolted on from whatever's on the shelf. You're buying into a Renogy product with real AU stock and support behind it.

What's inside the 400Ah Lithium Power Kit
Building a dual battery system from scratch means sourcing a battery, an inverter, a charger and a monitor separately, then hoping they actually suit each other. This kit skips that guesswork for you. Renogy has already matched the components to work as one RV power system, so you're wiring in a complete setup instead of testing four different parts. You'll still need your own cabling and fusing for the install. But the hard part, picking gear that's actually compatible, is already done.
No Solar or With Solar: which 400Ah kit to pick
Mostly weekend trips, charging off the tow vehicle on the drive in - the No Solar kit covers you. Parked up for days at a stretch and want the bank topping up without the engine running? Add the ×2 or ×3 200W ShadowFlux panels instead. The anti-shading tech keeps output steadier under trees than a standard panel, handy if your usual camp spot isn't in full sun all day.
Solar panel sizing for a 400Ah battery bank
How much solar you need depends on how many days you're parked and how hard you're running the fridge. The ×2 panel option, 400W total, suits shorter stays with your typical fridge and lighting use. The ×3 option, 600W total, suits longer stints off-grid or a heavier daily draw from your setup. Either way, the alternator charge on your drive in still tops up the rest.
No Solar (Rover Li 60A Charge Controller Option): what's actually different
This fourth option swaps the standard 50A DC-DC charger for a Renogy Rover Li 60A MPPT solar charge controller instead. The catch worth knowing before you buy: it doesn't charge from your alternator at all, so it's a different wiring job, not just a cheaper add-on. No solar panels ship with this variant either. You'll need to source your own MPPT-compatible panels, up to 800W at 12V, before this controller does anything. It suits a fixed installation, a shed, boat or cabin building its own solar array, better than a caravan or camper that needs charging on the drive in. Towing and want alternator charging? One of the other three variants suits you better.
Warranty on the 400Ah Lithium Power Kit
This kit isn't one blanket warranty term. It's four, and they don't all match. Your battery carries 5 years prorated cover. Your monitor gets 2 years. Your inverter carries just 1 year, the shortest of the four. The DC-DC charger's own warranty term wasn't published for this exact model, so ask us before you buy if that matters to you. Register each component with Renogy after you buy, so the cover's on record if you ever need it.

Not Sure Which 400Ah Lithium Power Kit Suits You?
Only running a fridge and charging phones on weekends? A smaller kit does the job and saves you a fair bit, like the 208Ah kit. Camping for days at a stretch, or running an aircon off your bank? This 400Ah kit, with the solar option, is the one to get. One thing worth flagging: this is a kit you wire into your caravan or camper, not a plug-and-play power station. If you'd rather skip the install, a portable power station suits you better. Every component here carries its own Renogy warranty, and we'll back you up sorting a claim if you ever need one.
