What will a 9000W inverter generator run?
Rated output is 8,200W with 9,000W of peak, which is enough for a typical house with the fridge, the freezer, lights, the hot water and a reverse-cycle unit going at once. On a job or an event it runs a lighting rig, a coffee cart and a couple of power tools. The 32A outlet takes your heavy gear and the two 15A outlets take ordinary leads, so you're not chasing adaptors. Because it's an inverter, the output is pure sine wave and safe for anything with a circuit board in it.
Why a silent inverter instead of an open frame
An open-frame generator this size will sit around 75 dBA and you'll hear it from the neighbouring block. This one is enclosed and runs at 64 dBA measured at seven metres, which is roughly the difference between a busy road and a conversation. You pay more for that, and you also get pure sine wave power and better fuel economy because the engine speed can drop under light load. If noise doesn't matter to you and price does, an open-frame unit is better value.
Two-wire start for automatic house backup

The 27 litre tank gives you around 18 hours at 25% load, off a consumption figure of 1.45 litres an hour at that load. Push it harder and it drinks more, so a full house load will get you well short of that. For most blackouts it means you fill it once and forget about it. Keep 1.2 litres of SAE 10W-30 and a spare TORCH F7RTC plug on the shelf and you're covered for servicing.
