Medium or Large: which one do you need?
Go by how many people you carry, not how much water you have. Medium at 3m x 2m holds 600kg and five people, which suits your family and the odd visitor, and at 29kg it's the easier one for you to handle. Large at 3m x 3m holds 720kg and six, and gives you enough room to lie down without touching the next person. The Large also ships with a 240V electric pump where the Medium gets a double chamber foot pump, so if you'd rather not pump by hand, that's a second reason to go up.
Why the soft ladder matters more than you'd think
Getting out of deep water onto a floating platform is genuinely hard, especially for your kids and for anyone who isn't twenty any more. Without a ladder it's a belly-flop and a scramble, and your crew stop bothering. With one it's a step. That single accessory is what decides whether a platform becomes the base for the whole afternoon or something everyone swims past. It's included with both sizes.
What drop-stitch means underfoot
Drop-stitch is thousands of threads joining the top and bottom skins, so at 1.5 to 2.0 PSI the deck stays dead flat instead of ballooning up in the middle. That's why you walk across yours, stand up on it and jump off it without it feeling like a lilo. The 1000D PVC at 0.9mm is the outer skin, and it's the part that shrugs off dragging up a ramp, a dropped anchor or a dog's claws. Under-inflate yours and it goes soft; over-inflate it and you're stressing seams for nothing.
The roller bag earns its keep at 32 kilos
Twenty-nine to thirty-two kilos packed is a solid lump, and a shoulder bag at that weight is a job. Looking after it in salt water

And let a little air out if it's sitting inflated in full sun on a hot day, because the air inside expands and the pressure climbs past 2 PSI on its own.
