I've had a fair bit to do with upright fridges going into caravans and canopies. As a caravan fridge the NRX 80C is the one I keep pointing people at when they want a real fridge, not an esky with a compressor bolted on.
It's the door that does it. Frameless, dark grey, with a handle running the full width. You grab it anywhere and it opens. No latch to fiddle with when your hands are full.
Inside there's 75 litres and the freezer box lifts straight out. Pull it and the whole cabinet becomes cold storage. Two crispers underneath keep your veg off the shelf.
At 21kg and 475mm wide it drops into most canopy and van cabinetry without a fight.

What the NRX 80C draws as a caravan fridge
Your caravan fridge has to earn its power. Dometic rates the NRX 80C at 55W on 240V mains. That's your compressor working, not a running average, because it cycles on and off as the cabinet holds temperature. Off 12V the draw depends on how hot it is, how full you've packed it and how often the door opens. Quiet mode slows your compressor down. ECO mode is the one to use when you're camped and living off your battery.
Fitting the NRX 80C into a caravan or canopy
The cabinet is 475mm wide, 625mm high and 537mm deep. The rear side is bevelled, so it tucks in tighter than the numbers suggest. You need airflow behind it, and Dometic sells a modular frame for a standard or flush mount finish. The door hinge swaps sides, so measure your walkway before you decide which way it swings.
What fits inside the 75 litre NRX 80C
A 75 litre upright suits a couple or a small family away for a week. You get proper shelves, a door rack and two crispers, so your food sits how it does at home. Nothing rolls around when you're on corrugations. That's the real difference between an upright and a chest fridge.
