The RM 2350 is the one that has been in Australian vans forever, and there is a reason it keeps selling.
It is simple. A knob and a manual energy selection panel. You pick gas, 240V or 12V yourself, and that is the whole interface. Nothing to go wrong on a circuit board out at Birdsville.
90 litres gross in a cabinet 556mm wide and only 766mm tall. It slots under a bench, which is why so many camper trailers and older vans use it.
There are no moving parts in it, so it runs completely silent. On gas it will sit there for weeks off one bottle and never bother you.
Who is it for? Camper trailers, pop-tops and older vans with an under-bench opening. If you want automatic energy switching, look at the RM 2356 instead.

How a three-way absorption fridge works
There is no compressor in this fridge. A heat source boils an ammonia and water mix, and that vapour moves around a sealed circuit to pull heat out of the cabinet. The heat comes from a gas burner, a 240V element or a 12V element. Nothing moves, so nothing rattles and nothing wears out. That is why these fridges run silently, and why owners hang on to them for so long.
Dometic RM 2350 cut-out and dimensions
The cabinet is 556mm wide, 766mm tall and 577mm deep, and it weighs 32kg empty. Dometic publishes the cut-out at 521 x 520 x 756mm, so your builder can check the opening before you order. The flue and the external vents still have to line up with the wall, so work off the installation manual. Shipping weight is 39.2kg.
RM 2350 or RM 2356, what is the difference
Same cabinet, same footprint, different control. The 2350 uses Manual Energy Selection, so you choose gas, 240V or 12V yourself with the knob. The RM 2356 uses Dometic's patented UES, which can run manually or switch on its own. The 2356 is also 5 litres bigger inside. If you like simple and cheap, take the 2350.
