Size your gear against 1,600W, not the 2,000W surge. That's your camping fridge, lights, chargers, a laptop and a TV, all at once and comfortably. Your kettle at 1,200W runs by itself. What it will not do is a caravan air conditioner, a welder, or a power tool with a heavy startup draw, because the surge on those is past 2,000W before your tool even spins. At 58 dB(A) from seven metres it sits at about the level of a normal conversation. Most caravan parks with a generator policy accept a machine at that level, and your neighbours two sites over won't be counting your hours. Two 240V three-pin outlets means your fridge and your lights both plug in without a lead board, which is more useful than it sounds when everything in your camp has a plug on it. The 12V DC output is the one people forget: it charges a battery directly rather than going through the inverter and a 240V charger, which wastes less energy. If you're topping up a camp battery or a starter battery, use the 12V lead rather than the AC socket.

Hyundai rate it at up to 8 hours from your 3.8 litre tank, and that figure assumes a light load. ECO mode throttles the engine back to match what you're actually drawing, so on your lights and your fridge it winds right down, uses less fuel and gets quieter with it. Run it hard at 1,600W and the engine sits up and the run time drops, the same as any inverter generator. Work out roughly what you'll draw before you assume the best-case number applies to you.

You have no battery to keep charged and nothing electrical to go flat between trips, which on a machine that lives in your shed for months is genuinely the right call. The cost is that you pull a cord. On a 21kg 80cc unit that's an easy pull for you, not the shoulder workout a big open frame machine gives you. Digital overload and low oil shutdown mean you're not babysitting it either: if the load is too high or the oil gets low, it shuts down before anything is damaged.
