Why removable matters on an off-road van
A standard caravan mover bolts to the chassis and stays there. On a bitumen tourer that's fine. On a van that goes down corrugated tracks and over washouts, the motors sit low, they collect rocks, and they're the thing you damage. The QuicKEY comes off in seconds with a pin, so before you turn off the blacktop you pull them, stow them, and your underside is clean again. That's the whole reason this version exists.
QuicKEY or standard Quattro: which do you need?
If your van lives on sealed roads and caravan parks, the standard Quattro Titanium does the same job for less and it's lighter at 29kg. The QuicKEY is what you buy when the van goes off-road, or when you want to leave 37kg at home on the trips that don't need it. You're paying for the quick release, not for more power: both are rated to 1.5 tonnes on a 25% incline with two motors.
Will it move your van?
Two motors are rated to shift up to 1.5 tonnes on a 25% incline with 585kg of output, which covers most single-axle vans on most driveways. Check your van's ATM against that and be honest about the slope. It fits vans between 1,800 and 2,500mm wide. If your van has two axles, get the four-motor set: it's about how the van is built, not about preference.
What it does to your battery
It runs on 12V and pulls around 25 amps average, peaking at 76 amps when it's working against a slope. That's a real load, so it wants a healthy battery and decent cable behind it. A few minutes of manoeuvring won't flatten a good setup, but a battery you've been meaning to replace will make itself known the first time you use it on a hill.
