The Owner's Insights on the Core Mini 200Ah Battery
Most 200Ah lithium batteries want your whole battery box before they'll go in. The Core Mini 200Ah doesn't. It's built to a standard battery footprint, 384 x 194 x 253mm, close to what your old lead-acid 200Ah already sat in. Swapping it into your rig is usually a lift-and-drop, not a rebuild.
At 19.25kg, it's the lightest 200Ah lithium pack I sell. You can carry it by the rope handles with one hand, no mate required to lend a hand. I've fitted these into canopy drawers, caravan lockers and 4WD dual-battery trays for customers, and it's the smaller case that makes your install easier.
Worth knowing before you buy: no Bluetooth on this one, and your charge current tops out at 100A, lower than some 200Ah packs. Running a serious solar array? Check that figure against your setup first. If you want live monitoring from your phone instead, our Core 200Ah Bluetooth model does that out of the box.
Why You'll Love the Core Mini 200Ah Battery
- Standard 200Ah battery footprint, 384 x 194 x 253mm Drops straight into the space your old lead-acid 200Ah used, no battery box rebuild needed.
- 19.25kg, the lightest 200Ah in the Core Mini range Carry it by the rope handles with one hand free for your drawer or door.
- 200A BMS, cuts charging below 0°C automatically No manual shutdown needed on a frosty start, your cells are protected either way.
- Rated for 5,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge Weekly trips for a decade before your battery is anywhere near done.
- 200A continuous, 380A peak for 10 seconds Covers your DC-DC charger, inverter and fridge pulling together, with headroom spare.
- Wire 4 in series, 4 in parallel, or mixed 4S4P Scale your system to 48V or up to 16 batteries as it grows.

Why You Should Consider a Renogy Lithium Battery
Renogy's spent over a decade building 12V lithium gear for Aussie off-gridders, and the Core Mini range is where the case shrinks without cutting corners on the cells inside. You get genuine capacity, a proper 200A BMS and RCM certification for the Australian market, backed by a 5-year warranty. Buy it through True Gear and you get local support, not a forum post to an overseas seller. Browse the rest of the Renogy range, or True Gear's other lithium batteries.

Fitting the Core Mini 200Ah into your existing battery box
At 384 x 194 x 253mm, your Core Mini 200Ah is a standard battery footprint, close to what a 200Ah lead-acid or AGM battery already sits in your rig. For most canopy drawers, caravan lockers and dual-battery trays built for that size, it's a straightforward swap rather than a rebuild. Measure your box before you order, with a little room for the terminals and rope handles. At 19.25kg it still needs a proper tray or strapping once it's in, lighter as it is than the lead-acid battery you're replacing.
Renogy Core Mini 200Ah vs the Core 200Ah Bluetooth
Same 200Ah capacity, same 200A BMS, same 5,000-cycle life. The difference is the case and the monitoring. This Core Mini is built to a standard battery footprint and skips Bluetooth entirely, so it's the lighter, more compact option if your box is tight and you don't need an app. Want to check state of charge from your phone without adding a separate shunt? Our Core 200Ah Bluetooth battery gives you the same rated capacity with monitoring built in. Both carry Renogy's 5-year warranty.
Sizing solar for the Core Mini 200Ah
Work it out from the charge current, not a guess. Your Core Mini 200Ah accepts up to 100A of charge current, lower than some 200Ah packs, so it's worth checking against a bigger solar array. For most setups it's not a limit for you: a single 200W panel puts out roughly 12-14A in good sun, so 1-2 panels (200-400W) will comfortably charge your battery across a day of driving or camping, well under that 100A ceiling, alongside a DC-DC charger doing the heavy lifting from your alternator.
How long the Core Mini 200Ah runs a 4WD fridge
Work it out from the numbers, not a guess. Your battery holds 2,560Wh. Your typical 60L camp fridge averages 50W. That's 2,560 divided by 50, or just over 51 hours. Call it two full days before you've topped your battery up with solar or your vehicle's alternator. Run a bigger dual-zone fridge closer to 60-70W average and you're still past a day and a half. Renogy rates the 5,000-cycle life at 80% depth of discharge, so plan your daily use around that, not the full tank.

Not Sure Which Renogy Battery Suits You?
If you need a plug-and-play power station instead of a bare 12V battery, this isn't it. Have a look at our RV power kits instead. They pair a battery like this one with an inverter and charge controller, ready to go for your rig. Building or upgrading your own 12V system and just need a compact, genuinely light 200Ah pack? This is one of the lightest on the market, standard footprint and all. One honest flag for you: no Bluetooth here, and your charge current is worth checking if you're running a big solar array. Want monitoring built in instead, our Core 200Ah Bluetooth battery has it from the box. Every Core Mini carries Renogy's 5-year warranty, and True Gear backs it with local support if you ever need it sorted.
