The panel wants sun and the station wants shade. That's the problem this cable solves. Five or ten metres of MC4 lead means you can put your panels in the open and keep your power station under the awning where it belongs.
It's 10 AWG, which is 6mm squared of copper, so you're not losing meaningful power over the run. Thinner cable is where cheap extensions cost you output on a hot day.

5 metres or 10 metres: which do you need?
Five metres covers most camp setups, where the panel sits a few steps from the van and you just need slack to chase the sun. Ten metres is what you want if your camp is under trees and the only clear patch of sun is across the clearing, or if you're setting panels on the ground while the station lives inside. If you're not sure, buy the 10: nobody has ever complained about too much cable, and you can coil the extra.
Why cable thickness matters
Every metre of cable costs you a little voltage, and thinner cable costs you more. At 10 AWG (6mm squared) the loss over 10 metres on a typical portable panel is small enough to ignore. Cheap 14 or 16 AWG extensions of the same length will quietly eat a chunk of your charge on a hot day, which is exactly when you notice it least and need it most.
