The Owner's Insights on the BLUETTI AC200PL

The AC200PL is the one I point caravan and camper owners at, because it's the only unit in this range with a 48V RV outlet on the front. If your van is wired for it, you feed the van directly instead of running leads through a window.

You also get four AC sockets rather than the usual two, so your fridge, your lights and your chargers all plug in without a power board. Two wireless pads on the top take care of your phone while you're at it.

It's 28.8kg, which is a solid two-hand lift, and there are no wheels. The good news is the box is generous: every cable you need is in it, including the solar and car leads that most brands make you buy separately. And if you outgrow it, it takes expansion batteries, so you're not starting over.

Why You'll Love the BLUETTI AC200PL

  • 2,400W across four AC sockets. Your fridge, lights and chargers all plug straight in, no power board needed.
  • 48V/8A RV outlet. Feed a wired caravan directly rather than trailing leads through the window.
  • Full charge in about 1.5 hours. Turbo charging off a wall socket, so it's ready before you finish loading.
  • Expandable to 8,448Wh. Add B210P, B230 or B300K batteries when a weekend turns into a fortnight.
  • Two 15W wireless pads. Drop your phone on top and it charges while the unit runs everything else.
  • Every cable in the box. AC, DC, solar and car leads all included, which is rare at any price.

Why You Should Consider a BLUETTI Power Station

BLUETTI is one of the biggest names in portable power worldwide, and the AC200PL carries a 5-year warranty with stock and support here in Australia. It's RCM certified for use here, and buying from an authorised stockist means your warranty claim is a phone call rather than an overseas ticket queue. See the rest of the BLUETTI range.

What the BLUETTI AC200PL will run

You're working off 2,400W continuous and about 1,960Wh usable after inverter losses. A 2,200W kettle runs on its own. So does a 1,200W microwave. Run the pair together and you're over the ceiling, so it's one or the other. Your 60L camp fridge draws around 45W averaged over a day, which is about two days per charge. Your phone charges roughly 160 times over. Power Lifting mode stretches to 3,600W for a simple heating element, because there's no motor to start.

The 48V RV outlet explained

This is the feature that separates the AC200PL from the rest of the range. Alongside the normal AC sockets there's a 48V/8A DC outlet designed to feed an RV or caravan system directly. If your van is set up for it, you plug in once rather than running extension leads through a window and hunting for somewhere to sit the unit. If you're not sure whether your van can take it, ring the store before you order rather than guessing.

BLUETTI AC200PL expansion battery

The AC200PL takes B210P, B230 and B300K expansion batteries, and BLUETTI rates the stack at up to 8,448Wh, which is the unit plus two B300 packs. We stock the B300K at 2,764.8Wh. Most owners buy the station on its own, live with it for a season, then add a battery once they know how much they really use. Worth noting the larger B500K is not on BLUETTI's compatibility list for this model, so don't pair the two.

Charging the AC200PL from solar

Solar input tops out at 1,200W and accepts a wide 12 to 145 volt range at 15 amps, which means it takes bigger panel strings than most units this size. In good sun that's a full charge in about 2.5 hours. Pass-through charging means your fridge keeps running while the panels fill it. If you're pairing it with panels you already own, check the solar compatibility guide first.

BLUETTI AC200PL price in Australia

The price on this page includes delivery to your door anywhere in Australia. Power stations carry 100 Day Free Returns, so if it turns out to be more battery than you need, or not enough for your van, send it back.

What's Included

  • BLUETTI AC200PL Portable Power Station
  • AC charging cable
  • DC input cable
  • Solar charging cable
  • Car charging cable
  • Grounding screw
  • User manual and warranty card

What's Not Included

  • Solar panels
  • Expansion battery (B210P, B230 or B300K)
  • Trolley for moving it about

The in-the-box list above is the manufacturer's own packing list, and it's unusually complete: the solar and car leads most brands charge extra for are already in there. All you need to add is the panels themselves, or a B300K battery if you want to double your run time.

Not Sure Which Power Station Suits You?

The AC200PL suits you if you tour in a caravan or camper, especially one wired for 48V, or if you want four AC sockets rather than two. It's the wrong pick if you want a unit you can carry one-handed, because at 28.8kg it's a proper two-hand lift; the AC180P is the lighter weekend option. Every power station from True Gear comes with 100 Day Free Returns and a 5-year BLUETTI warranty. Still weighing it up?
