The Charger 2 is the whole DC side of a touring setup in one box. It takes your alternator and your solar together, up to 1,200W into your power station, and it runs your 12V and 24V gear off the same hub.
That combined figure is worth understanding. The alternator port gives you up to 800W and the solar input up to 600W, so the 1,200W happens when you're driving in the sun. Either one on its own is still a long way past what a cigarette lighter socket manages.
It also works the other way. There's an auxiliary battery port for a second battery bank, and it can reverse-charge your vehicle system when that's what's needed. All of it is managed automatically and you watch it from the app. At 1.59kg and IP20 it mounts inside the van or somewhere dry under the bonnet.

Charger 1 or Charger 2: which one do you need?
The Charger 1 is a straightforward alternator charger. It gives you 560W while you drive and that's the job it does. The Charger 2 takes 800W from your alternator and another 600W from solar at the same time, adds a 600W DC hub for your 12V gear, and takes an auxiliary battery. If you just want your station full when you arrive, the Charger 1 does it for less. If you're building a proper touring power system, this is the hub it should run through.
How the DC hub changes your wiring
Most vans end up with a mess: a fridge on one circuit, lights on another, a converter for anything that wants 24V. The DC hub gives you 600W of 12V and 24V output from one place, spread across USB-A, USB-C, a cigarette lighter socket, DC5521 and a 50A Anderson. No boost modules, no separate converters. Your fridge, your lights and your fans all come off the same tidy point.
What you need to install it
It wires to your vehicle battery, and the 75A fuse and battery cables are in the box. It draws up to 62.5A from a 12V system, which is well beyond factory accessory wiring, so the cable run matters. Plenty of people fit it themselves in an afternoon. If you aren't comfortable working near your starter battery, get an auto electrician to run it and be done with it.
Where to mount it
It's IP20 rated, so it belongs inside the van, in a cupboard, or somewhere under the bonnet that stays dry. It's rated to 60 degrees but derates above 40, so give it air rather than burying it in a sealed box. At 1.59kg and 265 x 169mm it mounts on a wall or a panel without needing much room, and at 50dB or less it isn't something you'll hear over the road.
