I've sold portable power stations for years, and the Bluetti FridgePower is the first one I'd call a kitchen appliance. It's 78mm thick and finished in soft white plastic. It lies flat on top of your fridge and nobody in the house notices it.
Setup takes about five minutes. Plug the FridgePower into the wall, plug your fridge into the FridgePower, then walk away. When the power drops it takes over in under 10 milliseconds. Your compressor never stutters.
Plenty of Aussie households will use it for more than blackouts. Charge it in the middle of the day on cheap solar power, then run the fridge off the battery through the expensive evening block.
It's 19.7kg though, and it's indoor gear only. If you want something to throw in the ute for camping, this isn't your unit.

Will the FridgePower fit on top of your fridge?
Measure before you order. The FridgePower is 580mm long, 350mm wide and 78mm thick, and it weighs 19.7kg. Most full-height Australian fridges give you the clearance, but overhead cabinetry is what usually kills it. You need the 78mm plus a bit of air around the vents.
It also mounts flat on a wall or stands on its edge in a cabinet. Four adjustable levelling feet come in the box if your fridge top isn't quite flat. Owners have reported door hinges and mouldings getting in the way, so run your tape over the actual gap first.
What the FridgePower will actually run
The honest answer is your fridge and a few small things beside it. A typical full-size Australian fridge freezer averages 40W to 80W across a day once you account for the compressor cycling. On 2,016Wh you're looking at roughly a day and a half of cover.
Output is 1,800W continuous with 3,600W of surge headroom, so a compressor start is nothing to it. Add your modem, your router and a lamp and you're still well under half the rating. Power Lifting mode handles pure resistive loads up to 3,000W, so a 2,200W kettle will still boil.
Can you run a fridge or freezer off a UPS?
You can, and that's the whole point of this one. A standard computer UPS gives you a few minutes to save your work. The FridgePower gives you a day or more, because it's a 2,016Wh battery doing the job rather than a small backup cell.
The switchover is what makes it work. Under 10 milliseconds means the compressor doesn't drop out and restart, so nothing thaws and nothing gets confused. It'll run your chest freezer, an under-bench fridge or a fish tank pump just as happily.
Charging the FridgePower from solar
You get an XT60 solar input on the back rated to 1,000W, accepting 12V to 60V. The solar charging cable is sold separately, so factor that in. Our solar compatibility guide walks through matching panels to the input.
From the wall you get three modes in the app. Standard pulls 1,000W, Turbo goes to 1,800W, and Silent drops to 600W when you'd rather not hear the fan overnight. Running solar and mains together tops out at 2,200W.
