The Owner's Insights on the BLUETTI PV200 200W Solar Panel

Two hundred watts is the panel size that suits most people. It's enough to keep a camp fridge and your devices going indefinitely without dragging a suitcase-sized array around, and at 8.14kg one person handles it easily.

It uses standard MC4 connectors, which is the bit that matters. That means it works with BLUETTI stations and with most other brands, as long as the voltage suits. This one puts out 20.4V at max power with an open circuit voltage of 24.6V, so check your station's input range against those two numbers before you order.

Unfolded it's over two metres long, so think about where it goes. On a camp site that's fine. On a small balcony it's a squeeze. Folded it packs down to about the size of a large picture frame at 45mm thick.

Why You'll Love the BLUETTI PV200 200W Solar Panel

  • 200W from monocrystalline cells. Up to 23.4% efficiency, so you get more out of the same patch of sun.
  • Standard MC4 connectors. Plugs into BLUETTI stations and most other brands without an adaptor.
  • IP67 rated with an ETFE coating. It handles a downpour and wipes clean when the dust settles.
  • 8.14kg and folds flat. One person carries it, and it packs down to 45mm thick.
  • Works from -10 to 65 degrees. An alpine morning or a Queensland afternoon, it keeps producing.
  • 20.4V at max power. Sits inside the input range of nearly every portable station.

What the BLUETTI PV200 will actually charge in a day

Rated output is 200W, and in real Australian sun with the panel angled at the sky you'll average somewhere around 130 to 160W through the middle of the day. Over six useful hours that's roughly 800 to 950Wh, which fills a small station like the AC70P from empty or keeps a bigger one topped up while your fridge runs. Flat on the ground it drops off, so prop it towards the sun and move it once or twice.

Will it work with your power station?

It uses standard MC4 connectors, so the plug itself fits almost anything. What decides compatibility is voltage. This panel gives 20.4V at max power and 24.6V open circuit, which sits inside the solar input range of nearly every portable station on the market. Check your station's stated range before you order, and read the solar compatibility guide if you want it spelled out.

Can you run more than one panel?

Yes, and most people end up doing it. Wiring two in series doubles your voltage, wiring them in parallel doubles your current, and which one you want depends on your station's input limits. Keep the panels identical: mixing brands or sizes drags the whole string down to the weakest one. If you're building a bigger array, call the store on 03 7056 6732 and we'll work out the wiring with you before you buy.

How it holds up outdoors

The surface is ETFE rather than plain plastic, which means it takes UV and scuffing better and wipes clean when the dust settles on it. The panel is IP67, so rain isn't a problem. Dirt is the thing that costs you output more than weather does, so give it a wipe every few days on a long trip.

What's Included

  • BLUETTI PV200 200W solar panel
  • MC4 connection cable
  • User manual

What's Not Included

  • A power station to charge
  • MC4 extension lead, if the sun is a long way from your camp
  • MC4 branch connectors for running two or more panels

The panel comes with its MC4 lead, so it plugs straight into a BLUETTI station out of the box. Pair it with a power station, or see the rest of the panel range if you want more than 200W.

Not Sure Which Solar Panel Suits You?

The PV200 suits you if you want one panel that keeps a fridge and your devices running off-grid without needing a trailer to move it. It's the wrong pick if you're trying to fill a 3,000Wh station in a day, where you want two or three panels rather than one. Solar panels from True Gear carry 100 Day Free Returns, and this one comes with a 12-month BLUETTI warranty. Not sure it suits your station? Call the store on 03 7056 6732 and we'll check the voltage range with you before you buy.
