The Owner's Insights on the Gentech Wheels & Handles Kit
Your 5 to 8kVA generator is a two-man lift, and this is what turns it into a one-man wheel. Two heavy-duty wheels, two steel handles with grips, the axle and all the mounting hardware, bolted straight onto your own generator frame.
Pick the variant that matches your machine. One kit fits your standard 5 to 8kVA non-RCD models, the other is built for the newer 8kVA RCD and Remote Start V2 frames, which are a different shape.
We fit it before it ships, so it arrives on your generator ready to roll rather than in a box of parts.
Why You'll Love the Gentech Wheels & Handles Kit
- Two heavy-duty wheels. Rough ground, not just concrete.
- Two steel handles with grips. Something to actually hold onto.
- Axle and mounting hardware included. Nothing else to source.
- Bolt-on install. No drilling, no modification.
- Two variants. Standard frames or RCD and R/S-V2.
- Fitted before dispatch. It arrives ready to move.
- Attaches to the frame. Solid, not a bolt-on afterthought.
- Made for Gentech machines. Correct fitment, not near enough.

Why You Should Consider a Gentech Generator Accessory

Which variant do you need?
This is the only decision to get right, and the model plate on your generator answers it. If yours is a standard 5.0 to 8.0kVA machine without an RCD, you want variant one: that covers the EP5900, EP7000 and EP8000 HCRA and HSRE frames. If you've got an 8kVA with an RCD, or a Remote Start V2, the frame is a different shape and you need variant two. Get it wrong and the brackets don't line up. Ring the store on 03 7056 6732 with your model number if you'd rather we checked it.
What a wheel kit is really worth on a site
Your 7kVA generator sits somewhere around 90 kilos with fuel in it. Without wheels that's two people, a clear path and a careful lift every time you move it, which in practice means it gets parked once and stays there whether that's your right spot or not. On wheels one person repositions it in seconds, which means your machine ends up where your leads are shortest and the exhaust is pointing away from you. It also saves your frame from being dragged.
Why it bolts to the frame rather than clamping on
Universal trolley kits clamp around whatever they can find and work loose, because your running generator vibrates constantly and nothing clamped stays tight through that. This kit mounts to the points designed into the Gentech frame, so the load goes through the structure rather than through a clamp on your fuel tank or your guard. That's the difference between something that lasts the life of your machine and something you're re-tightening every month.
It comes fitted, which saves you the fiddly part
We install it before it leaves us, so your generator turns up to you on its wheels rather than beside a bag of bolts. The fiddly part of these kits is always the axle and getting both handles square, and it's much easier on a bench than on a workshop floor with the machine on its side. If you're buying the kit on its own for a generator you already own, the install is straightforward bolt-on work with basic spanners.
Looking after the wheels so they keep rolling
Two things kill generator wheels. The first is running them flat or low if they're pneumatic, which chews the sidewall and makes the machine drag rather than roll. The second is leaving the axle unlubricated on a machine that lives outside your shed, where rust seizes it solid and the wheels start scrubbing instead of turning. A squirt of grease on your axle once a season and a quick look at your wheels before you move it is the whole job.

Not Sure Which Generator Accessory Suits You?
This kit suits you if you're moving a 5 to 8kVA Gentech generator around a site, a yard or a shed and you're tired of lifting it. It's the wrong pick if your machine sits permanently in one spot, or if it's a different brand or size where the mounting points won't line up. Call the store on 03 7056 6732 with the model plate off your generator, or send an SMS to 0476 330 590 and we'll confirm the variant.
