Seven point three kilos is why you'd take a blanket over panels
A rigid 400W setup is two panels, frames, glass and around 25kg. This is one blanket at 7.3kg that folds to roughly the size of a backpack. What it isn't rated for is being submerged, or you folding it and packing it away wet, which is how moisture ends up sitting against the junction box. The other habit that matters: don't drag yours across gravel or drop gear on it. The cells sit behind a flexible laminate rather than glass, and that laminate is what you're protecting.
