The Owner's Insights on the ONE Vision 7

Seven inches of screen on the wall, and every circuit in your van under your thumb.

The Renogy ONE Vision is the panel you fit when the 4 inch ONE Core screen stops being enough. It runs Android on a proper quad-core with 2GB of memory, so it moves the way a tablet moves rather than the way cheap RV panels move. Tap a tile and your light goes off. No lag.

The layout is the good part. Power on the left, your loads tiled on the right, tank levels and cabin temperature along the top. You stop hunting through your menus.

It's a 350g panel that flush-mounts, and it needs a Core behind it. On its own it does nothing, so budget for both.

What Customers Say About the ONE Vision

Owners running the Vision with a distribution box rate the per-channel readings above everything else. Seeing what each circuit draws on the main screen turns fault-finding into a short job.

The switching gets good marks. Loads respond straight away from the panel or the app, with none of the lag people expect from a networked system, and owners running dimmable lighting rate that side of it.

The consistent gripe is setup. Getting everything paired takes longer than the wiring did.

Why You'll Love the ONE Vision 7

  • A screen you can actually use. Seven inches at 600 x 1024, driven by a quad-core chip with 2GB of memory, so tapping a load switches it straight away.
  • Every circuit as a tile. Your lights, pump, heater and awning sit on the home screen as buttons, which beats walking to the distribution box.
  • Power and water on one view. State of charge, current in and out, tank levels and cabin temperature all read from the same screen.
  • Wired or wireless. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are built in, and there's a 100Mbps Ethernet port if you'd rather run a cable to the Core.
  • Sips power. 0.5W at 12V with the screen off and Wi-Fi still on, so leaving it connected costs you almost nothing overnight.
  • Flush mounts with the bracket in the box. It sits 25mm deep and comes with the bracket, the screws and a 5m power cable.

Why You Should Consider a Renogy 12V System

Renogy has been building off-grid power gear since 2010, and the ONE range is where they've put their effort lately. Is Renogy a good brand for a caravan fitout? For 12V monitoring and control, yes. The parts talk to each other properly, the documentation is thorough, and the Vision carries a 2-year warranty.

What the ONE Vision 7 does

It's the display and control panel for a Renogy ONE system. Pair it with a ONE Core and a Smart Distribution Box and you get every DC circuit in your van as a tile you can tap. It reads your tank levels, your cabin and outdoor temperature, battery state of charge and inverter load, and it runs the scenes you set up so one tap changes the whole van over.

Does the ONE Vision need a ONE Core?

Yes. The Vision is a screen, not a gateway. The ONE Core is the part that talks to your batteries, charge controller and distribution box, and the Vision displays what the Core collects. Buy them together. A Vision on its own will power up and show you nothing useful.

Renogy ONE Vision 7 mounting

It needs a 25mm deep cavity and flush-mounts with the bracket supplied. Your panel measures 181 x 118mm. Owners fit it beside the door or above the bench, at a height where you can read it standing up. Run the 5m power cable back to the same 12V feed as the Core where you can. If you're building the rest of the system at the same time, the RV power range has the boxes it pairs with.

What's Included

  • Renogy ONE Vision 7 x1
  • User manual x1
  • Mounting bracket x1
  • KA3 x 14mm mounting screws x5, one spare
  • Power cable, 5m x1

What's Not Included

  • Renogy ONE Core, required for the Vision to work
  • Smart Distribution Box for circuit control
  • Ethernet cable
  • Tank level and temperature sensors

The bracket and the 5m power cable ship in the box. The gateway does not, so add the Renogy ONE Core to your order or the panel has nothing to display.

Not Sure Whether You Need the Vision or Just the Core?

Be honest about how you'll use it. If you only check the batteries now and then, the 4 inch Core screen does the job and saves you the cost of the panel. The Vision earns its money when you're switching a dozen circuits by hand and want them all on one screen. The honest catch is that setup takes patience, and owners consistently say the pairing is slower than the wiring. The Vision carries a 2-year Renogy warranty, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law sit alongside it.
