Eight circuits, 60A, and Bluetooth built into the box.
That last part is the bit worth knowing. The bigger PMS1280 talks over CAN only, so it needs a ONE Core before you can see anything at all. This one pairs straight to your phone. You get per-circuit current, switching and scene setup from the Renogy app without buying another thing. Add a Core later if you want the readings on a wall panel and access from town.
It's a compact unit at 221mm wide and half a kilo, so it fits where the big box won't. Six channels at 10A and two at 30A covers a camper trailer or a modest van build.
If you're running twelve circuits or a big inverter, step up to the 1280 instead.

What the PMS1260 controls
Eight DC circuits, split six at 10A and two at 30A, with 60A total through the box. That covers a camper trailer or a modest van: your fridge, water pump, lights, USB points and a couple of heavier loads on the 30A channels. It also reads two water tank levels and switches an inverter remotely. It's one of the smaller options if you want a 12v distribution box that still does proper monitoring.
Does the PMS1260 need a ONE Core?
No, and that separates it from the 1280. Bluetooth is built in, so your phone talks to the box directly for monitoring, switching and scenes. What the ONE Core adds is range and a wall panel. Bluetooth only works while you are near the van, so if you want to check your batteries from the pub, you need the Core.
PMS1260 or PMS1280
The 1260 gives you eight circuits, 60A and Bluetooth. The 1280 gives you twelve circuits, 80A, four tank inputs and two temperature sensors, but no Bluetooth. Count your circuits. If you land under eight and you'd rather not buy a Core straight away, the 1260 is the smarter buy.
