The Owner's Insights on the BLUETTI PV350 350W Solar Panel

Three hundred and fifty watts out of one panel is the point where solar stops being a top-up and starts being a real charge. It's roughly 1.75 times a 200W panel and three and a half times a 100W one, so you're filling your station in an afternoon rather than over a weekend.

The number to check before you order is the voltage. This one has an open circuit voltage of 44V, which is higher than the small panels. Most mid-sized and larger stations take it happily, but a small unit with a 12 to 28 volt input window will not. Check your station's range against that 44V figure.

It's a big panel. Unfolded it's 2.81 metres long and it weighs 14.7kg, so it's a two-hand job to set up and it wants a decent patch of clear ground at your camp. Folded it's 745 x 785 x 50mm with a carry handle, and there's an adjustable kickstand so you can tilt it at the sun instead of laying it flat.

Why You'll Love the BLUETTI PV350 350W Solar Panel

  • 350W from one panel. Three and a half times what a 100W panel gives you, from one setup.
  • Standard MC4 connectors. Plugs into BLUETTI stations and most other brands without an adaptor.
  • IP65 with ETFE and fibreglass. Rain, dust and dragging it across your gravel don't bother it.
  • Adjustable kickstand. Tilt it at the sun rather than losing output to a flat panel.
  • Folds to 745 x 785 x 50mm. It carries by the handle and slides behind the seat in your ute.
  • Works from -25 to 65 degrees. An alpine morning or a Pilbara afternoon, it keeps producing.

Why You Should Consider a BLUETTI Solar Panel

BLUETTI is one of the biggest names in portable power worldwide, and the PV350 is the panel that keeps their bigger stations genuinely off-grid. It carries a 12-month warranty with support here in Australia. See the rest of the BLUETTI range.

What the BLUETTI PV350 will actually charge in a day

Rated output is 350W, and in real Australian sun with the kickstand angled properly you'll average somewhere around 230 to 280W through the middle of the day. Over six useful hours that's roughly 1,400 to 1,700Wh. On a 2,000Wh station that's most of a full charge in your day, which is what makes it worth the size. Move it once or twice to follow the sun and you'll do better again.

Will it work with your power station?

Check the voltage before anything else. The PV350 has an open circuit voltage of 44V, which sits comfortably inside a 12 to 58 volt or 12 to 60 volt input range, and outside a small unit's 12 to 28 volt window. If your station takes 1,000W of solar or more, this panel is the right size for it. If it only takes 500W, you're buying more panel than the station can use. Read the solar compatibility guide, or ring the store with your model.

350W in one panel, or two smaller ones?

One big panel means one setup, one lead and one thing to move. Two 200W panels give you more flexibility: you can angle them separately, chase two patches of sun, or leave one at home on a short trip. The trade-off is your wiring and the extra fiddling. If your station has the input to use all 350W at once and you'd rather set up once and sit down, this is the better buy for you.

How it holds up outdoors

The cells are laminated in ETFE with a reinforced fibreglass backing, and the panel is IP65 rated. That means rain and dust are non-issues and the surface takes scuffing better than plain plastic. What actually costs you output is dirt on the face, so wipe it down every few days on a long trip. Fold it into its case when you're moving camp rather than throwing it in your tray open.

What's Included

  • BLUETTI PV350 350W solar panel
  • MC4 connection cable
  • User manual

What's Not Included

  • A power station to charge
  • MC4 extension lead, if the sun is a long way from your camp
  • MC4 branch connectors for running two or more panels

The panel comes with its MC4 lead and a built-in kickstand, so it plugs straight into a BLUETTI station out of the box. Pair it with a power station that can take 1,000W of solar input, or see the rest of the panel range if this one is bigger than you need.

Not Sure Which Solar Panel Suits You?

The PV350 suits you if you run a mid-sized or large station and you want it genuinely full again by evening rather than half charged. It's the wrong pick if your station only accepts 500W of solar, or if you want something one person can set up in a tight spot, because 2.8 metres unfolded needs clear ground. Solar panels from True Gear carry 100 Day Free Returns, and this one comes with a 12-month BLUETTI warranty. Not sure it suits your station? Call the store on 03 7056 6732 and we'll check the voltage and the input limit with you before you buy.
