Parallel or series, and why it matters to you
Wire two panels in series and the voltage doubles while the current stays the same. Wire them in parallel and the voltage stays put while the current doubles. Both give you the same watts, and only one of them is safe for your gear: every charge controller and power station has a maximum input voltage, and series wiring is how people accidentally sail past it. Parallel keeps the voltage where a single panel had it, which is why splitters exist.
