A normal panel only makes power from the front. A bifacial one has cells on both faces, so the back picks up light reflected off whatever is underneath it. On sand, pale dirt, a light-coloured tarp or your ute roof, that's a real gain: EcoFlow rate the panel up to 243W bifacial against 220W flat. On dark grass or bitumen you'll see much less of it. Set yours up over something light-coloured and you get free watts for nothing.

At 5.1kg you carry it with one hand and re-angle it whenever you walk past, which is the difference between your panel tracking the sun through the day and it sitting where you dropped it at 9am. That's not a small effect: re-aiming your panel twice through the day is often worth more than 20% extra rated output. Anything much heavier and it stays where you put it, and you lose that gain.

The 21.4V open circuit voltage sits comfortably inside the 12V-input range that most portable power stations and small charge controllers accept, which makes this an easy panel for you to match. Higher-voltage panels put out more efficiently over long cable runs but rule out a lot of smaller units. The XT60 connector is what EcoFlow's own power stations take, and adapters to Anderson or other fittings are cheap if your gear needs one. Rated output assumes ideal test conditions, so in real sun you'll see somewhere around 170 to 200W at the peak, with a bit more if the ground under yours is reflecting light. Over six useful hours that's roughly 1.1kWh, which is enough to keep your 45W camp fridge going indefinitely, or recharge a 1,000Wh power station in a good day. If you're running a fridge plus tools and charging a bigger station, look at a 400W panel instead.

IP68 means sealed against dust completely and rated for continuous immersion, not just a splash. On a panel that lives outside all day and gets rolled up wet, that's what stops water tracking into your junction box. The XT60 cable is built into the panel with 2.5 metres of lead, so you have nothing loose to pack, lose or fumble with, and 2.5 metres is enough to put your panel in the sun with your power station in the shade. That last bit matters, because heat is what hurts your battery.
