The Owner's Insights on the BLUETTI AC180P
The AC180P is the one I hand you when you want real power you can actually carry. At 16kg you lift it one-handed into the ute tray, and it tucks under a caravan seat.
Don't let the size fool you. It puts out 1,800W of pure sine wave, and Power Lifting mode stretches that to 2,700W for simple heating gear like your kettle or electric blanket.
The party trick is the recharge. Plug it into any wall socket and Turbo charging has you at 80% in 45 minutes. One thing to know before you buy: there are only two AC sockets, so pack a power board for your camp lights and chargers. For a weekend away, this is the sweet spot.
What Customers Say About the BLUETTI AC180P
Owners of this unit talk about two things. First, the grunt for its size. It starts and runs high-draw gear that smaller units refuse, and more than a few run their essentials through it during blackouts. Second, the build. It feels solid and well put together straight out of the box.
The gripes are small. Two AC sockets means a power board at camp, and at 16kg it's a one-hand carry, but you know you're carrying it.
“…runs a new Dometic 57L fridge freezer for 5 days including my CPAP machine & still had 30% power.”Dan H., verified buyer, June 2026
“Fully charged it and it ran my Bushman car fridge for 30 hours with still 16% left on it.”Cliff P., verified buyer, January 2026
Why You'll Love the BLUETTI AC180P
- 1,800W pure sine wave. Runs your fridge, tools and camp kitchen without the whine of a genny.
- 2,700W Power Lifting mode. Simple heating gear like your kettle or electric blanket runs beyond the rated output.
- 45 minutes to 80%. Turbo charging at 1,440W means it's ready before you've packed the ute.
- 1,440Wh of LiFePO4. Your 60L camp fridge runs for a day and a bit, and the cells are rated for 3,500 cycles.
- 16kg, one-hand carry. It rides in the boot or under the caravan seat. No wheels needed.
- Nine ways to plug in. Two AC sockets, a 100W USB-C, four USB-A, a 12V outlet and a 15W wireless pad.

What the BLUETTI AC180P will run
Work off 1,800W continuous and about 1,220Wh usable after inverter losses. A 1,200W microwave runs on its own with room to spare. Your 60L camp fridge draws around 45W averaged over a day, so it runs for a day and a bit per charge. Phones charge about 80 times over. A 2,200W kettle only runs in Power Lifting mode, and only because it's a simple heating element. Running a caravan air con? This isn't the unit for it, whatever the lifting mode says. Add up your wattages and stay under 1,800W and you'll get on fine.
BLUETTI AC180P solar input and charging
Solar input tops out at 500W, taking panels from 12 to 60 volts at up to 10 amps. With a full 500W of sun you're recharged in around 3 hours, and pass-through means you can run gear while it charges. The kit variant adds the PV200 folding panel, a 200W blanket that suits weekend top-ups. You can also charge from your car's 12V or 24V socket while driving. If you're pairing it with panels you already own, check the solar compatibility guide first.
BLUETTI AC180P review: the short version
Good: more output than anything else at this weight, an 80% recharge in 45 minutes, LiFePO4 cells that outlast the warranty, and a wireless pad on top for your phone. Not so good: two AC sockets means a power board at camp, and there's no expansion battery option, so the capacity you buy is the capacity you get. If you need more sockets or multi-day capacity, step up to the AC180T. For one bloke, a fridge and a weekend, this is the pick.
BLUETTI AC180P expansion battery
The AC180P doesn't take an expansion battery. There's no expansion port on the unit, so the 1,440Wh on board is the capacity you get. The way to stretch a trip is to recharge as you go: 500W of solar through the day, or the car socket while you drive. If your trips genuinely need more stored power, a bigger unit is the honest answer, and the store will tell you straight which one.
BLUETTI AC180P price in Australia
The price on this page includes delivery anywhere in Australia. The solar kit variant adds the PV200 200W folding panel. Power stations carry 100 Day Free Returns, so if it turns out to be the wrong size for your setup, send it back.
BLUETTI app control
Pair the BLUETTI app over WiFi or Bluetooth and you can check the charge level, switch the AC and DC outputs and change charging modes from your phone. Bluetooth covers you at camp, and WiFi picks up at home when the unit sits on your network. The screen on the unit shows the same numbers if your phone's flat.

Not Sure Which Power Station Suits You?
The AC180P suits you if you're camping on weekends, touring in the 4WD, or keeping the fridge and modem alive through blackouts.
