Fifteen kVA is where a generator stops being site gear and starts being infrastructure. This one runs your welder, your compressor and a full crew of tools at once, or your house with everything on, and it does it off a Honda V-Twin GX690.
The V-Twin matters more than the badge suggests. Two cylinders share the work, so it runs smoother under a heavy load and holds its speed when something big kicks in. Electric start means you turn a key rather than wrestling a cord on a 690cc engine, which you wouldn't want to do anyway.
Plan for the size. It's 160kg and 876mm long, so it's a forklift or a couple of your strongest blokes, not a one-man lift. It burns 6 litres an hour at 80% load, and the 34 litre tank gives you about five and a half hours of that. At 75 dBA it's a work generator, not a camping one.

What will a 15kVA generator run?
Fifteen kVA on single phase is about 12kW of real work. That covers a house with the air conditioning, the hot water and the kitchen going, or a site running a welder, a compressor and several trades' tools at the same time. Both 15A outlets are live at once. If you only need to keep a fridge and some lights alive in a blackout, this is far more generator than you need and you'll pay for it in fuel.
Why a V-Twin engine on a generator this size
A single-cylinder engine making this much power has to work hard, and you feel it as vibration and as voltage sag when a big load lands. The GX690 splits the work across two cylinders, so the power strokes come closer together and the engine holds its speed better. In practice your welder runs steadier and your sensitive gear sees a cleaner supply. It's also easier on the mounts, which matters over years of use.
How long will it run on a tank?
Gentech's own figure is 6.01 litres an hour at 80% load, and the 34 litre tank gives you 5.66 hours at that rate. Run it lighter and you'll stretch it out. That's most of your working day on one fill, which is the point of the long-range tank. Let it cool before you refuel, and keep a jerry can on your truck for the days it works hard.
Moving and siting a 160kg generator
It comes on a heavy steel frame, and at 160kg you're moving it with a forklift, a telehandler or a couple of people and a plan. Think about where it lives before it arrives. Give it clear air around it for cooling, keep it out of the rain, and put some distance between it and your windows: 75 dBA at seven metres is loud enough that your neighbours will know it's running.
