Single phase or three phase?
This is the decision that matters most, and it's simple. If everything you run plugs into a normal Australian power point, you want this single-phase version: two 15A outlets, 230V, no adapters. If you've got machinery that needs three-phase, no amount of single-phase output helps you, and the three-phase ED6800YSRE-3 is the same machine with a 20A three-phase outlet added. Same engine, same tank, same weight.
Be realistic about the 5.4 litre tank
At 80% load it burns 1.65 litres an hour, so the tank gives you 3.3 hours. That's short, and it's the direct consequence of the compact, 100.5kg design. This is a generator for a service call, a morning's work or running a machine while you use it, not for setting up and forgetting all day. Carry a jerry can and it's fine. Expect all-day unattended running and it will annoy you.
