Two 15A outlets on an 11kVA machine
This catches people out, so it's worth saying plainly. Eleven kVA is around 47 amps at 230 volts, but the sockets on the frame are two 15A outlets, which is 30 amps between them. To use the full output you need it wired properly rather than run through leads. If you're backing up a house, a shed or a workshop, that means a licensed electrician and a changeover switch. If you're running a couple of tools off leads on site, the sockets are all you'll ever touch.
11kVA without AVR, or 10kVA with it?
This is the comparison worth making before you buy. The EP10000HCREA is the same engine, the same 34 litre tank and the same frame, but it adds automatic voltage regulation and drops to 10kVA. AVR holds your voltage steady as loads come and go, which matters for chargers and anything with a control board. If your loads are steady, take the extra kVA here. If they swing all day, the AVR is worth the trade.
Why the genuine Honda engine is the point
Plenty of generators this size run Honda-pattern clone engines. They cost less and look the same until yours needs a part. A genuine GX630 is supported through the Honda dealer network across Australia, and every small engine mechanic knows it. A clone means chasing an importer while your machine sits idle.
